This new device features a 1.2 GHZ dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16 and 32 GB internal storage models, with additional storage extension per MicroSD of up to 32 GB. The Galaxy Tab 7 Plus has a multi-touch capable capacitive PLS LCD touchscreen; the display is offering a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels at 170 pixels per inch.

For the built-in operating system Samsung went with Android 3.2 Honeycomb, which sets the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus device far away from the competing crowd still toiling away with the Gingerbread, Android 2.3. As such, Samsung is capable of offering better performance in HD video display, up to 1080p are being promised; furthermore the 3 megapixel camera with the LED flash and autofocus can record video of up to 720p at 30 feet per second.

Samsung also did not save on connectivity, every available connection and port is included, starting with 3G, GPRS and EDGE, then continuing with dual-band Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 3.0 and the USB 2.0 Host; for additional fun there is the currently again popular IR port. The Galaxy Tab 7 Plus is pre-loaded with a ton of software, including the Polaris Office, Google Mobile Service, the Samsung TouchWiz UX and some Photo and Video editing solutions, besides the powerful Universal IR remote, just to name a few. Full access to Samsung Hubs is provided and if all this is not enough, unrestrained access to the Android Market is also given. After a few rumors and leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is finally unveiled. This new Samsung tablet PC competes against competitors like Apple tablet PC the iPad 2and Motorola Tablet PC the Xoom. This thinner tablet has a capacitive 8.9 inch touchscreen and 1200X800 resolution. It runs on Honeycomb Android 3.0 operating system that is powered with 1GHz dual core processor, currently the fastest tabs in the market.

This Samsung tablet PC also has the new TouchWiz 4.0 version user interface designed specifically for this tablet. This UI offers several great features like Mini Apps Tray that offers Calculator, World Clock, Memo Pad and Calendar together, Live Panel, a customized home screen that can be moved and accessed easily, social hub that brings together sites like Facebook, Twitter and many more on a single interface. Samsung is one of the brands that is currently ruling the market, at least when it comes to tablet PCs. While it has been actively involved in developing the technology for tabs for a few years now, it is only now that it has been gaining a lot of attention for these three superb tablet PCs in the market. With its clean, concise, sleek designs and its amazing range of features and applications, these tab PCs are definitely holding their own against iPad.
